These new portraits document the endagered existence of Japan’s indigenous equine breeds-and remind us of the bond we share with our fellow creatures.
Over the last two years I’ve been traveling through Japan in search of its remaining native horses. It resulted in a geographical journey allowing a glimpse of Japan’s culural history in relation to its animals.
The enire project is currently on show at Gallery 916 in Tokyo.
